Christmas Negroni

This was a fun one to make! We did a holiday take on a classic Negroni. This is a bitter cocktail so if you like sweet cocktails, this is not it! But... making infused gin was fun and we smoked the glass so we felt super fancy! Enjoy!

1 oz Christmas Gin (see below)

1 oz Campari

1 oz Vermouth

Christmas Oranges for garnish (see below)

Cinnamon stick for garnish

Rosemary for smoking

To prepare glass - using an old piece of wood, light a fresh sprig of rosemary. Blow out if you see flame, place glass on top and allow to smoke for a few minutes.

To prepare cocktail- add gin, Campari, and vermouth to shaker filled with ice. Shake until combined and pour into prepared glass, over large ice cube. Garnish with cinnamon stick and Christmas Orange slice.

For Christmas spiked Gin: in a small sauce pan over medium heat- add 1 tbsp each whole cardamom, whole cloves, a few bay leaves, and a few cinnamon sticks. Heat until smoking, without burning, then place into a large mason jar. Add gin and give it a good shake. Cover and let sit over night.

For Christmas dried oranges: slice oranges, sprinkle with ground nutmeg, ground ginger, and ground cinnamon. Bake in 275 degree oven for about 90 minutes.

Happy Holidays!
